Something many of you may not know about me is that I was Miss July 2004, for Playboy. I met some wonderfully talented people along the way. I traveled and got to see new places and was introduced to new cultures. And well, I got to meet Hugh Hefner. I mean, let’s face the facts folks, that alone is worth being a playmate. With every new chapter we open, another one must close. Playboy was a part of my life early in my career, but I did not want it to define me personally and professionally. I consider it my alma mater if you will, and I let the wind catch my sail wherever it would take me.
That wind caught and I sailed places! I learned a lot about modeling, fashion, and the entrepreneurial spirit along the way. I also channeled my faith, family and friends which has landed me here, to where I am now, with opening my own line; Sadie Ray Swimwear. This company has been a passion and a dream of mine for many years. It was inspired by a woman of class, strength and someone who I aspire to be. I named my swimwear company after my grandmother.
So when Playboy reached out and asked to feature me in an article about my company, I was honored! Oh, and did I mention it was the 2015 Playmate of the Year issue? I was so excited to be a part of it and model some of my line in the June issue.
